Portfolio Control Center

The Command Center is the daily operations hub for project managers and leadership. It combines portfolio KPIs, an actionable work queue, and Red / Yellow / Green job triage so you can spot problems early, assign follow-ups, and track them to completion.

Page Layout

The page reads top-to-bottom: metrics, filters, queue, then portfolio health bands.

Use β†Ί Refresh in the header to reload portfolio data and the queue. The Jump to… menu links to other PM tools (Operations Center Gantt, Regional Situation Report, Variance Trend, etc.).

Header shortcuts: ? opens this help page; βš™ opens Settings (account, theme, and saved defaults). Click your user pill (initials when signed in) to open Settings as well. On localhost you can set identity manually; in production, Microsoft 365 sign-in is used for queue ownership and audit entries.

KPI Strip

Sticky summary at the top β€” updates when filters change.

Portfolio
Total projects β€” count of active jobs in the filtered portfolio (not affected by Hide Residential / Hide 100% Done view flags).
Productivity
Portfolio CPI β€” weighted productivity index across in-progress jobs. Color turns red < 0.85, amber 0.85–0.99, green β‰₯ 1.0.

Health counts

Three evenly spaced counters show how many filtered jobs fall in each triage band:

These match the Red / Yellow / Green tables below and respect your current Person, Territory, and other filters.

Filters & View Options

Narrow the portfolio before triaging or reviewing the queue.

PersonShow jobs where selected people are PM or PEx. Leave on ALL for the full portfolio.
MoversFilter by week-over-week GM% trend (same logic as Variance Trend β€” |Ξ”| > 1 pt). Options: Getting worse, Getting better, Movers only.
TerritoryRoll up jobs by ops territory (Kansas City, Florida, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Omaha, Iowa, Colorado, New Mexico).
GroupsApply saved PM filter groups (shared with the Operations Center Gantt).

Click More filters β–Ύ to open Health, GM% threshold, property type, and state filters.

View toggles

Hide ResidentialRemoves residential jobs from triage tables (KPI total unchanged).
Hide 100% DoneRemoves completed jobs from triage tables.
Quiet ModeSimplified triage layout β€” fewer columns, tap a row to expand metrics. Hides the action queue on mobile.
DecodeServer-side geocode for jobs missing map coordinates.
Hidden jobs: Jobs flagged Hide from Command Center or with production reporting turned off are excluded from triage and the queue automatically.

Operational items that need a person to acknowledge, complete, or escalate.

Click a row to expand details, timeline, and notes. Action buttons on the right:

Open the queue with a direct link using ?task=<queue-item-id> in the URL β€” the page selects the right tab and highlights the row.

Red / Yellow / Green Triage

Every active job in the filtered portfolio is classified into one health band.

Click a band header to collapse or expand its table. RED and YELLOW bands sort by severity (lowest CPI first). Use the Movers filter to re-sort by GM% week-over-week direction instead.

Why pills
Each row shows flags such as Productivity, Low GM, GM Watch, or Bill/Cost (billing vs cost mismatch).
Row click
Click a job row (not the Task button) to open the PM Variance detail page for that job.

Triage Table Columns

Full table mode (Quiet Mode off).

Creating Tasks

Three ways to create actionable work β€” choose the path that fits.

Quick Action β€” Task button (triage row)

In any Red, Yellow, or Green band, click Task in the Quick Action column.

An inline form opens below the row (same pattern as Regional Situation Report).

Set title, description, priority, department, due date, and assignee (search by name or email).

Click Submit task. The item appears in the Action Queue and is logged to job history.

Assign Task (role-based)

Use Assign Task in the queue header (or mobile bottom bar) when you need a task routed to the active PM, Foreman, or Superintendent on a job.

Enter job code, category (Audit, Review, Safety, Quality, RFI, Other), and target role.

Set severity, title, description, and optional due date.

Submit β€” the system resolves the assignee from active role assignments and sends email notification.
Requires PM access: PEx, PM, admin, or platform admin. If no active person holds the selected role, the task is not created.

Add item (manual queue entry)

Add item creates a general queue row with optional job code, department, owner, and CC person β€” useful for ops issues that are not role-routed job tasks.

Quick Action / Add item
You pick the assignee directly. Source type = manual.
Assign Task
System picks assignee from job role slots. Source type = job_task. Appears in mobile Tasks tab.
